📋 Commission Disclosure
RealityCheck UK provides honest, peer-sourced information to help international students make informed decisions. Where we help you apply to a UK university, we may receive a commission from that university if you successfully enrol. This does not affect the information or advice we provide. We never promote a university based on commission rates, and all content remains editorially independent.
By accessing or using RealityCheck UK (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and RealityCheck UK.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement. The Service is intended primarily for international students considering or currently studying in the United Kingdom.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account at legal@realitycheckuk.co.uk.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, and to update it if it changes. We may suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information.
4.1 Plans
We offer three plans: Essential (free), Pathfinder (£4.99/month) and Pioneer (£9.99/month). Plan features are described on the pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
4.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
4.3 Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial months, except where required by UK consumer law.
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact legal@realitycheckuk.co.uk within 14 days and we will investigate promptly.
4.4 Price changes
We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase, via email and in-app notification. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts that violate these rules, without notice for serious violations.
You retain ownership of content you post (community posts, stories, etc.). By posting, you grant RealityCheck UK a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute that content within the Service.
You confirm that your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and that you have the right to post it.
We may moderate, remove or edit content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, at our sole discretion.
RealityCheck UK may facilitate university applications on your behalf as a registered education agent. By submitting a university application through our platform, you:
RealityCheck UK does not guarantee university admission, visa approval or any specific outcome from an application.
The AI Companion and AI Support features are powered by third-party language models. They provide general information and guidance only — not legal, immigration, financial or medical advice. Always verify important information with qualified professionals or official sources (UKVI, your university, UKCISA).
AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate. We are not liable for decisions made based solely on AI-generated content.
All content, design, code and branding on RealityCheck UK — excluding user-generated content — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute it without our written permission.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, RealityCheck UK shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other matter that cannot be excluded under UK law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
